        Really nice pub, always warm and inviting with friendly staff, great food and drink, reasonable prices. Nice beer garden. Let down a bit by the fact there is no hot water to wash your hands in the male bathroom.

        I cannot believe living for 6 years in Tavistock, I have missed this country pub. A little old fashioned (great!), with an informal and welcoming staff, nice atmosphere and good service. The food was excellent - the fresh sea-bass was very tasty - cooked just right. The straightforward trimmings were well cooked and generously proportioned. Certainly not a fancy pub with over-decorated minimal proportions, and all the better for it. Will certainly return.
