Buckhurst Hill Library

A nice library, the staff were very helpful and had some activities for my daughter.

I love this library. Very helpful staff who are patient and kind with the children I look after. We are so lucky to have these services available.

Buckhurst Hill Library consist of a small room with a very limited choice of titles. Most worthwhile books are held at other library locations and need to be reserved and collected from this library. If one is lucky. Sometimes reservations never materialize, despite being in position one and after months of waiting. Opening times are random, the library is often closed, so collections and returns need considerable planning. Staff are generally rude and unhelpful. In the winter months the thermostat is set so high as to be uncomfortable and the entrance door is kept open to let the heath out. I know that some people cannot afford to heath their homes and such a waste is unjustifiable. We pay a very high Council Tax in this area and this library is another service that the Council is not providing to the community.

I am happy they reopened. The library is trying to get back on track. They work really hard to offer this service the our community.
