Rock N Roe

My first time at this chippy and I'm currently trying them all in the area to find my favourite. I'm a bit torn on this one. On the one hand to be fair it was all really tasty and the curry sauce was absolutely lovely. On the other hand the batter on the fish was really soggy and the chips were as well. I think it's because it's all wrapped in paper rather than a box. Because of that I probably wouldn't return to this one as I've definitely had better at at least one other local one. Fish and chips. It's a fine art to do them right.

The food at Rock 'n Roe has got better over the past few years I think. Service today was good although we were in late evening so it wasn't busy. Our cod was cooked to order and was still piping hot when we got home. Friendly service - overall very decent and just what we wanted. Parking: I'm usually lucky and get spot outside but there's parking around the side and back of this row of shops. Usually not a problem.

Great place to eat fish and chips. The food is affordable , tasty , delicious and fresh food that they make in front of you. The staff are sociable , friendly , kind , understanding , helpful , polite and respectful. I brought fish and chips from them which cost me 8.80 , it was absolutely amazing to eat and it was hot as well which was good because it didn't get cold easily. Go there and buy your food from them because it is worth every penny. I have been going there for years and it is good place to go if you're hungry. They have great customer service that will make you like them even more and more as a good friend. The place is clean , tidy , retro , big , spacious , classic and every time I go there I feel like I stepped back in time which is great experience because I know people want to live like they just saw this shop for the first time. They sell cod bites with 8.00 and it is worth the price.
