The funeral industry can sometimes (not all the time) be a difficult field to get into. Most other major training providers like NAFD/BIFD/SAIF require you to have at least 6 month's experience in the industry before they will train you. Makes no sense to me, because if i already had 6 months experience then i would obviously already know what im doing and would not need your training. Anyway thats their loss as Green Fuse got my money. Absolutely lovely place to train. It's got a cottage feel with a look of a church. Amazing. They make you feel right at home. Simon, Angie and Teri are absolutely lovely. Sorry I forgot the others names but their lovely too. They provide you with refreshments throughout the day and lunch. Training is highly informative and jam packed with knowledge and information, you also get a nice folder to take away. I have already completed care and management of the body (which is done on a lovely elderly man called Ichabod Smith) see photos. The main thing, you don't need any previous experience to do green fuse training. If you want great training with a certificate and no headache of needing previous experience then Green Fuse is your answer. People travel from far and wide and stay in hotels just to train with Green Fuse. I'm from Surrey. When I was there the others came from Manchester, Birmingham and Hastings. Also the Hastings lady is someone that I know personally and we did not know that the other person was on the course. Imagine the odds of that, just shows how popular the training is. I look forward to coming back in September for my next set of training. After this I will be fully equipped to start taking on funerals.

I attended a Greenfuse Funeral Arrangers course a little while ago, and I must say I came with some nerves and a little trepidation that there may be too much to take in in a short space of time. However I need not have worried as Simon and Jane took everything at a calm, supportive nurturing way. All aspects were covered informatively and thoroughly in one of the MOST enjoyable learning environments I have ever encountered. I came away not only with a qualification but a greater empathy and mindfulness of people not only dealing with the immediate loss and death of a loved one, but with the aftermath of coping for the bereaved . The setting also added to the sense of nurture. Because of their training and approach, when we opened our Funeral Home, (Howard Goodman, Weston Super Mare) we had the confidence to be thoroughly scrutinised by The Good Funeral Guide, which we have been approved by for three consecutive years!! I thoroughly recommend Simon and Janes courses, and ethics at Greenfuse. Tracey Challenor
