A fascinating and special place, the little centre is crammed with information and the lady there is extremely knowledgeable. If you do get the chance to visit (there are very few open days, check their website), do also walk up to the old ruined Trinity church just above the quarry - it's very beautiful and has a grave there that inspired Conan Doyle's Hound of the Baskervilles tale.
