South Dartmoor Bunkhouse, is owned and ran by members of Devon Spelological Society. It offers Bunkhouse accommodation for mainly outdoor pursuits groups caving, walking, canoeing & biking or the like. Sleeping is split into 2 rooms (4 & 12 bunk beds) on the top floor with a toilet between the rooms. Downstairs you will find a combined kitchen/common room. 2 showers, toilet & wash area. Large drying room kit store. I've been staying here on and off for quite a few years as part of outdoor pursuit groups and family with kids. it's kept clean and tidy, and investment made most years to improve, (new mattresses & common room seating most recently) Don't expect spotless accommodation, but clean and tidy. Aimed at the adventurous outdoor type. Gets alot of use over the winter, less during the summer when water levals are lower.
