The Church of St Andrew in Thorne (historically known as Thorne Coffin) is an Anglican parish church. Dating from the 14th Century, the building was partly restored in 1891. Built mainly of local cut Ham stone with ashlar dressings, the North Porch is dated 1613 and the inscription over the door reads This is none other but the house of GOD and this is the gate of Heaven. The octagonal pulpit is dated 1624.
