some of the food is excellent, service not so much. we came when there was only one other group in & waited over 5 minutes to be seated. the staff were talking and goofing around even though they saw us waiting. they wouldnt seat us at a table for 4 because there was only 2 of us despite the restaurant being empty. the servers seemed both standoffish and uncaring. they got our order wrong & it was difficult to tell anyone because of the lack of service. they started blowing all the candles out & repeatedly telling us theyre going to close well before closing time & just made us not want to be there. this may be because of our younger age, but regardless should not be happening to any of the guests staying there. despite the horrible service, the food was amazing. the fish and chips were a good portion and very tasty, probably the best ive had in london. the side salad was extremely small, and not worth 4. the pasta was very small considering the price. good flavor but nothing special. tempura prawns werent really tempura, but a thick tasteless batter. overall, some of the food is good, most of its overpriced, & poor service.
