Rob Dodsworth Photography

Our quest for a wedding photographer stemmed from wanting one very specific photo. A blurred carousel profile shot. We had decided to hire a carousel as a surprise for our guests and knew the kind of photos wed love to have with it. That was how we found Rob. Then, we looked at his Instagram and fell in love with his candid style. Were not posey photo people and Robs photography suited us perfectly. We then had a chat online, and I loved Robs energy, enthusiasm and vision for the photos. The only photos I knew we wanted were the carousel ones, we put full trust in Rob for everything else and it was very well placed. Rob was lovely to work with, with easy, quick communication and also helped with recommendations for DJs (a spot on recommendation too!) On the day, we barely noticed he was there and we didnt leave our guests for too long for portraits, which was really important to us. All our guests complimented Rob and how he was working, and when they saw the photo previews, well, they were pretty darn impressed. As were we! You cant be everywhere at once at your own wedding but with Robs candid style, it felt like we were, like we joined in on laughs or hugs we may have missed or moments that may have passed us by, and yes, we got the all important carousel photos! Id recommend Rob to anyone, not only was he an amazing photographer, but a smashing person too!

Rob did a fantastic job in capturing special moments during our day whilst being a 'fly on the wall'. He was also so helpful in the time leading up to our wedding, answering all our questions. We absolutely LOVE our photos. Amongst the many qualities of Rob's photography skills, we love the fact that the photos are not staged at all.

Rob was absolutely fantastic, we had to change our wedding date twice and Rob was happy to transfer our bookings over with no problems at all. He turned up on the day and it was instantly like he was another guest, taking some incredible pictures and also having fun with all our family and friends. And the photographs are stunning, he captures the best moments and the fun and joy of the day (including hilarious moments from the best mens speech!). We would 100% reccomend Rob to everyone, thank you again!!! x

Rob was the photographer for my sister's wedding a few years ago. He was so friendly and funny that as soon as we got engaged we knew we wanted him to be part of our special day. After we initially enquired, we had a long phone call with him where he explained to us how he works in order to ensure he would be a good fit for our day. He was so easy to chat to, and he really put us at ease so we booked him straight away! Unfortunately, our wedding fell right in the middle of the pandemic so we were forced to postpone by a year. Rob was incredibly understanding and kept in touch with us both throughout the following year. Just before our new date arrived, we had another catch up with Rob where he went through timings as well as any shots we wanted. On our wedding day, Rob was amazing at making everyone feel so comfortable and all of our guests loved him! Apart from a few group family photos, the rest of our shots were completely candid and had that natural and authentic feel. He managed to capture the love and laughter of our family and friends within his photos. Just before we received our full gallery, Rob made us a slideshow of some of his favourites with beautiful backing music. I still haven't been able to watch it without crying! Looking back through the gallery with our family was incredibly special and we relived the whole day again. We can't thank Rob enough for being part of our special day, and providing us with memories that we will treasure forever. If you're considering Rob as your photographer, then stop thinking about it and book him now! You won't regret it. Thank you Rob.

Rob photographed our wedding and was a delight from start to finish - he was very easy to work with, fitted in so well with our guests at the wedding and helped to make the day as fantastic as it was. It's been a few months since our wedding but it would be remiss of me not to say publicly what I have been saying to friends and family in private! We were very keen that we did not spend half our wedding day taking awkward photos and Rob is a natural at capturing...the natural. So many of the best photos we have are those which people will not realise were being taken but all combined to capture the day just as we wanted. Equally as important, working with Rob was an entirely stress-free experience throughout, even in the midst of a pandemic. Just be sure to have fruit cake somewhere. Would recommend whole-heartedly.
