After accidentally injuring myself at work I went to Heron Practice to get my wound dressed. Jade, the doctor who looked after me was absolutely amazing. She had me in every 2 days, cleaning and taking care of my wound; whilst explaining everything she was doing and how I could manage it myself whilst at home. She made me feel so comfortable with her friendly manner and took care to be gentle and considerate whilst tending to my wound. Probably the best experience I have ever received from a doctor's surgery!

The NHS is busy and amazing, and I greatly appreciate it. I have had great experiences in other practices, but I have encountered many misunderstandings with the reception or admin here. After having two blood tests at the same time, the test review appointment was scheduled for 3-4 weeks later(okay I can wait). When I finally spoke to the GP, she said she could only review one of the results, I needed to book another appointment for the other blood test review. After staying in the crazy long queue on the phone, the receptionist refused to book another appointment because she said I had already spoken to the GP Also, the GP asked me to book a regular blood test every month, but the receptionist refused to book it because she didn't see the GP's note on my profile In sum, no blood test review. No blood test. I saw other people have same issue in the reviews too. ONLINE SERVICE - it doesnt work. You can successfully book a phone call appointment, but somehow never received a call. I asked them why, they said dont know. HOW TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT - call the receptionist precisely at 8 am. If you call at 8:10 am, you may have to wait in a queue for 1.5-2 hours. I am not kidding. PHONE CALL - When appointment shows the GP will call you at 10:20am, it means they may call you at 12:00pm. Wait for the call patiently. Better not to miss the call, it takes forever to get another one. DONOT- Dont pay and collect the medicine without checking. The GP makes mistakes(They prescribed 30mg, but only get 10mg from the pharmacy) I called the GP, they corrected the prescription, I went to the pharmacy again, and paid another 9.35.
