Brownhills Nursing Home

Obviously Tracey arms the manager still has no people skills I worked with Tracey for 8 years it was hell not knowing what mood she would be in so unapproachable she is a bully and staff was made to feel belittled by her the attitude is disgusting she did not know the residents at all just sat in office even when extremely short staffed which was regular. Her overall attitude is horrendous and how the hell she remains a manager is unbelievable sad really sad.

Shocking care home. Wouldnt put a rat in there. Although i have seen them in the kitchen. Past reviews are written from care staff which the manager pushes you to write. Manager is absolutely vile little woman syndrome. The residents are only entitled to 3 pads a day and are supposed to buy the rest they dont so staff have to leave them in poo and wee and have previously had to used puppy pads and towels and and used nappies to cover mens genitals. If you approach management about this your answer will be your changing them too often or their only entitled to 3 pads a day 0 activaties just sticks a iPad infront of them. Most of the residents are sat in there room some dont have tvs or radios. Nurses insist you get end of life patients out of bed and sit them in a chair. Diabetics with full capacity are not allowed sugar in their tea so they over rule them and take that decision away from them. So clearly have no knowledge about mental capacity act. Like when a resident came on resbite with full capacity and could walk manager would not allow her for a cigarette as it wasnt a smoking home.(even tho staff smoke) again no clue about mental capacity. Manager gives no toss for any residents will quite happily let staff struggle as constantly understaffed but wont pay to put staff on.manager very unapproachable speaks to staff like somthing shes trod in. If the carers run the home it would be a great place but sadly its run by people with no knowledge and seems they have won there nursing degree in a cereal box.

A lovely home where they actually care about the residents, management care about the staff, friendly atmosphere where residents seem happy and well looked after and have all needs met and always clean tidy and smelling nice.
