Dr G K Gill - New Road Surgery

Have been with the surgery since I moved to the area 21years ago and have never had a problem. Reception staff are always extremely friendly and helpful and in some cases are able to sort out things for me without having to actually see the doctor in person. Afew years ago my health went downhill, I started seeing Dr Malhotra the female doctor who was absolutely outstanding, she was the first person that was actually able to diagnose me with what she thought I had. She swiftly referred me to the department I needed to get confirmed and get me the treatment I needed and has been fantastic every step of the way. My condition is ongoing and if I ever need anything I know I can ring the surgery and get sorted with no problems at all.

My family have been with New Road Surgery since 1997 and I can honestly say l have never had any problems, all the staff have always been there when myself or any member of my family have needed to see a doctor /nurse. For me personally l have multiple conditions which need careful monitoring to which the team at New Road have always done, for which l am very grateful. The only fault l could find is the new answering phone messaging but unfortunately this seems to be on all doctors surgeries now.

I would like to give my complaint to New Road Surgery.Yesterday I book an appointment at 8am by phone,doctor should call me between 9:30 and 11:30.Nobody called me.I rang them again.Lady from the reception told me to have a patience.I waited longer but nobody called me.They closed on Friday ealier and I can not do anything.It was not a first time when I booked a phone appointment and nobody called me or my call was strangely cancelled.

Fuming, denied pill because needed a pill check, had pill check today, told me it will be sent over to the pharmacy for me to collect the surgery is now closed and they haven't sent it.

Dr. Kaul & Partners is a very good gp practice and good availability of appointments and knowledgeable friendly staff. A number of unfavourable reviews in the past appears to be for a large neighbouring practice with similar name which is no longer based in the health centre.
