        What an amazing little get away for the solo traveller. I needed to get away from London for a bit of R&R and this was perfect. The room is very clean and comfortable: Cate is a lovely host and has thought of all the little extras that make your stay excellent. I even arrived to fresh baked shortbread, brownies and eggs! Great location for exploring the Lake District and coming back to a very quiet, calm place to relax. Thank you

        What a perfect little home for two! Clean, cozy, quiet! Great location for touring the Lake District and the historic village of Cartmel. My husband and I loved the property, the views, and seriously...we would stay here again just to enjoy more of Cate's delicious homemade shortbread & brownies! Yum! The room has everything you need to start your day: coffee, cream, eggs and bathroom toiletries. We highly recommend The Garden House!
