Lovely walk over the mines, and part of 'The open cast way' a field then gated wide fenced grassy path, fantastic views over the valley with lots of heather. Beware that you are walking on a slow decent and the returning walk will be much harder and noticeable. The population of crows is a bit like a Hitchcock film set, but it just adds to the atmosphere of the place. Not suitable for those with mobility problems.
