Really happy with my delivery today! Spoke to lady at start of the week who was really helpful and explained all the turf and delivery options to me. turf arrived today and its beautiful the garden looks lovely! absolutely chuffed

Very disappointed with the quality of this turf I have used turf supplied by Sykes in the past with great results Sykes no longer in business and `County Turf are the new supplier , so I am told The turf arrived fairly promptly within an hour or so of the agreed time However it was very dry ,obviously cut the day before the first few rolls were ok but bore little resemblance to the quality of the stuff I had been to see at the County yard I put it down to it being a bit distressed , it was a hot day however it got worse a lot of the lengths were badly cut with ragged torn edges and of wildly varying thickness . The rolls looked to have been cut by a badly maintained machine or an inexperienced operator The sub base was almost pure sand with a lot of pebbles and stones and contained a lot of coarse grass (The stuff I viewed at the yard was of a constant thickness lush on an peaty sub. Just perfect) we eventually got it all laid . levelling and cutting out bad patches double the time it would normally take I contacted the office , sent pictures , and got the reply to water it ! The grass has now been down 8 months and will probably have to be taken up due to the amount of coarse grass present the site was well prepared and was left fallow for nearly 7 months before laying A further comment from the office , I was told the grass we delivered is not necessarily the grass we deliver Poor quality very very disappointing I have deliberately left a period of time before this review in order to get a true reflection one star is generous
