We went on a girly weekend in July 2021. From the moment we stepped through the door we felt like VIPS. There was a complimentary hamper with snacks and prosseco and the cottage smelt absolutely beautiful. The hot tub was HUGE, clean and maintained to an extremely high standard. The bedrooms were very spacious with lots of room and plenty of mirrors to use whilst getting ready. The bathroom consisted of a large luxury tub and was very, very clean. The living living was well equipped and very cosy for girly time. The fire was lovely in the evening and accompanied the board games very well. All the sofas had lovely mustard soft furnishings that made it feel like a home from home. There was a slight hiccup with the linen company used at the time and Charlotte - the host was very approachable when I called her. She got a new company to come in and rectify the issue and they performed a full linen change, house clean and provided some chocolates as a good will gift which went down very nicely. We were more than happy with Charlotte's professionalism and the great depths she had gone to, to ensure our trip could go ahead. However, much to our surprise, Charlotte went above and beyond by paying for a table at the local fan park during the ENGLAND vs UKRAINE game with a food and drinks package. We were blown away by her kindness and her morals. She wanted to apologise for the hiccup (even though it was no fault of her own) and she delivered! We are already looking at dates to return next year. The history of the house can be found in a folder and it makes a nice read. Lots of character. It is lovely to read that Charlotte's child took their first footsteps in the cottage and it's a breathtaking moment to sit at the large dining table, looking out of the French doors thinking about all the people who must have walked the floors of the lovely, cosy cottage. We sat out at the generously sized garden table and it had a real sense of being abroad. We felt like we were in Greece with the contempary garden terrace decor. Speaking of Greece, we highly recommend "the Greek" restaurant. Amazing food and amazing prices. All in all we had a fabulous time and Charlotte deserves a host of the year award after her decorum and kindness. Thank you so much for an amazing time. FOOTBALL is coming home and we WILL be returning to The Old Post Office. Perfect for families/ group trips. Sleeps 6 VERY comfortably.
