Hunters Of Yorkshire

The teak bench we bought is great and was easy to assemble. It was shipped quickly, and when I emailed Hunters to let them know a small wooden dowel was missing from the kit, they emailed back immediately and two days later a padded envelope with a handful of spare dowels arrived. That's 5 -star customer service in my book. I wish I could say the same for the delivery company, XPD who delivered the bench. Their tracking system is hopeless. The package arrived 2 hours after the end of the delivery window and there's no way of getting in touch directly- the online chat system has no-one there, and the telephone number, which is a premium rate number, makes it clear via a recorded announcement that they will not speak to people waiting for packages. if anyone from Hunters reads these reviews, I'd recommend changing your courier to one whose customer service matches your own.

Three stars because although the chairs were perfect it took 3 tries to get an acceptable table. The first non of the holes were large enough for the fittings,the second was not new,the table top has signs of wear and was covered on deep scratches and one bit was split. Customer service was great for the first table a little less thereafter I felt like a nuisance. However the table I have with a little hammering is up and lovely.

We recently bought a garden table and chairs and chose this company because the reviews of another site (much cheaper for, apparently, the same thing) were disparaging especially if you needed to have something replaced. So glad we chose Hunter's. One of the chairs was discovered to be badly damaged on receipt but Hunter's got a replacement to us in well under a week. It is both suprising and pleasant in this day and age to get such good customer service. Well done Hunter's
