The Cordwainer

I travelled some distance to be assessed for new footwear as i'd suffered partial foot amputation. The service is nothing short of fantastic with genuine made to measure shoes now on order. They go to incredible lengths by a master craftsman making sure you can walk with confidence. Above all, they make top quality shoes/boots and very cleverly disguise their look, giving you complete confidence. Many of their clients like me are disappointed former NHS patients. So if you feel let down with what you have been provided with, go to The Cordwainer - you won't be disappointed

Very impressed with the insteps he fitted in to all of my shoes and very good value! Would highly recommend as there are hardly any orthotic specialists as skilled.

I've known Mr tailor the cordwainer for a number of years. To say he has changed my life is an understatement. From our first meeting he understood how I felt and further more understood how to make shoes that looked fantastic but better still didn't hurt anywhere. He takes time and a lot of effort to make sure they are exactly what you want. I can not praise him or his staff enough. The atmosphere is friendly but professional. He has made me look and feel normal. I can not thank him enough.

I have never had a pair of shoes as comfortable as the ones made by the Cordwainer, they have altered my posture and prevented any more pains in my neck & spine, I would never buy a pair of shoes from anywhere else & it's a very welcoming & friendly atmosphere.
