As the title suggests, avoid Biffa at all costs. Its clear by reading some of the other reviews on here and elsewhere im not the only one thats had a problem with them. I wish I had read some of these reviews before signing up. Apart from the missed collections, problems with invoices and customer service that is non-existent, my biggest gripe with them is their auto renew contract policy. I have been with them for over 2 years and because of Covid-19 I have had to move out of my business premises. I called a few days ago to cancel my contract only to be told today that by coming out of my contract early I will have to pay a 254 fee! I asked them how cancelling my contract after 2 years is cancelling it early and they informed me that it auto renews every year without a confirmation or signature from me so unauthorised, and with no prior warning that it will auto renew. I have never had a contract like this with any other company I have ever dealt with. I cannot for the life of me see how this is legal. I asked the agent who emailed me to explain how to cancel the contract without having to pay a fee as the terms on the contract are utter gibberish and over the space of 3 emails he pretty much said a different thing each time so either he doesnt understand them either or is making it up as he goes along. The last email he sent said that you have to cancel before the renewal date, but it wont actually cancel until 3 months after the renewal date. How does that even make sense? So, you give the right amount of notice and you still have to pay for another 3 months in fees and have a bin and service that you dont need. Ridiculous. Just in case you have are still unsure about using Biffa, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!
