I booked Edmund Drewelus to undertake a full house survey prior to purchase. The process was quick and the survey was supplied in a couple of weeks. There were no major issues found in the survey. Upon completion of the sale shortly after the report it was evident the property was suffering from severe damp (both rising and penetrating damp). The survey made no mention of damp issues. In fact it states damp meter reading had been taken throughout the house. I have since had a damp survey. There is no way Edmund took a damp meter reading given the severity of the problem. The cost of which to fix is several thousand pounds. I now question the validity of the whole survey. Avoid this company at all costs. They are not a reputable business.

One star is really higher than they deserve. This is a complete scam. We paid for a full building survey through Your Survey. This is not what we received in the slightest. The survey we were provided with contained general statements which could have related to any property. The report clearly indicated that a full survey had not been carried out. It even contained a statement that the flat roof above the garage was inaccessible.you can see it just by putting up a step ladder! They even said they couldnt see it with binoculars which is just laughable. We asked for this to be looked into and continued to either receive rude responses disregarding our comments or no responses at all. We were referred to Kent Project Partnership who have also never responded. We asked to be referred to the complaints team and this never happened. Please do not use them it may seem good value but its cheap because they clearly dont do a proper job and charge you up front so you cant get any kind of refund. The survey was unusable and we had to get another one carried out and thank god we did as it picked up so much that hadnt been identified by the survey we received Kent Project Partnership.
