Chris is a highly energetic and motivating trainer willing to tailor his approach to suit your interests. As well as providing fitness and martial arts training, he has helped our boys develop their own interests in other sports/ disciplines and encouraged them to follow them through.

My 6 year old with big ambition to be a ninja has been learning the basics of jiu-jitsu and wrestling with Chris. He has found it fun, especially the catch style grappling in the mats, and Chris makes safety a priority.

My 7 year old son has been training with Chris for 6 months now. It was actually through Chriss piano lessons that we discovered their shared love of fitness. Mainly due to my son being a keen gymnast so has a gymnastics bar and photos of his competitions in the same room. Initially he would show Chris his moves and exercises, and Chris would help where appropriate. He used his wide range of knowledge and professionalism in a way that really kept my son engaged. I was aware that Chris also did martial arts training, and saw that this could be beneficial for my son who was shy around rough play with other kids. As he got a little older and with constant cooperation from myself (I have always been kept updated with risk assessment and approached for consent), Chris has been training him in grappling and mixed martial arts. This has again stemmed from his engagement of helping him with his conditioning and strength exercises to assist with his gymnastics. As a parent I am put at ease with how Chris can judge what is safe to expose my son to based on his maturity and how safety is always reiterated in every lesson. My son loves having these sessions, and his confidence has increased a lot. He says that Chris makes the training very fun and is good at teaching him new skills.
