I was looking for some advice on Estate Planning (wills etc) and approached Bank Solicitors in Bromsgrove - hadnt used them before. I was offered a free 30 minute appointment with an experienced solicitor and I have to say the advice to myself and my wife around Wills, Will Trusts and Tenants in Common was invaluable. Sobea (solicitor) and Hayley (paralegal) were professional, friendly and, above all, explained things in an easy to understand way. I am intending to engage Bank to move things forward for us over the next few weeks.

We had to pull out of a purchase of a bungalow about a year ago because of your incompetence, taking so long, refusing to respond to phone calls etc, 250 + vat for a simple indemnity policy, as opposed to other solicitors who told us they would charge 90 + vat. we paid our deposit and heard no more than 12 months later we get a bill for the full amount plus the indemnity we don't need (normal solicitors purchase indemnities on exchange but not these clowns).it's taken 12 months to send a bill, nearly as long as it took us to get hold of a solicitor to discuss our purchase. Worst solicitors we have ever come across. DO NOT INSTRUCT THEM. EDIT: Their unprofessional and incorrect reply was "we couldn't afford the mortgage", we purchased a house 50,000 more than the offer we had accepted on the bungalow so it couldn't be further from the truth. And we used a solicitors that only took 3 months, shows how long they took, they have stated themselves they took 7 months and weren't close to completing the purchase.

Two years ago we visited Bank in Bromsgrove with a view to purchasing my mothers leasehold from the freeholder. We met Sobea. The ball was in motion. We heard nothing after paying the deposit. The freeholder pestered us and Bank. We contacted Bank, answered usually by an irritated young woman. Eventually we received the paperwork, signed and returned it. The freeholder was very happy with his big fat cheque. However, we still dont know whether Mom owns the freehold and after many phone calls to Bank asking for paperwork proving the freehold is now Moms and constantly being told HM Land Registry are on a go slow due to the pandemic, we have given up asking. So is the freehold hers or has she just blown nearly 8,000? I will never use this company again and would never recommend it. The lack of communication is appalling! Two years on and we have nothing to show for it!
