James J. Fox(Harrods)

I'm a long time customer of Jjfox's st James location. Visited here due to that one being closed for the bank holiday. The two are worlds apart in terms of customer service. Service at the Harrods branch is somewhat standoffish. Sampling lounge was 'full' when we visited and we said we could come back after a little shopping. Enquired on when approximately there would be space, "I can't tell you that". Said we would return in half hour or so. Went to the Rolex boutique and bought a watch from a fantastic sales guy called Vlad. We came back around an hour later and asked if we could sample some cigars now "no, it's still full". Funnily a minute later, an Asian gentleman walked in and was shown directly into the sampling room. Rather odd. Ended up at sauter around the corner where we managed to sample cigars and pick up a few fantastic boxes! Will steer clear in future. Hidden gem in Harrods. I love JJFOX for the range of cigars and complementary drinks. I will come back and recommend you to try it. Its a great stop after all the shopping. Bolivar Petit Corona

I went in to Harrods Cigars to buy a few cigars. I waited around for a bit before being served, which is fine. However, once I was served, the assistant wasnt very helpful. When I asked questions regarding the Cigars I was given very generic answers. I had to warm him up quite a bit to get him to start talking a bit more. It was closer to closing time and maybe it was a long day for him, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt. Overall the cigar range was okay. I will definitely return hoping for a better interaction and maybe try out the Cigar Lounge. However if you are looking for a bigger cigar selection with amazing service, DavidOff Of London on St James Street would be the one for new Cigar smokers.
