First of all the system for take out / dine in needs looking at. No clear direction apart from a neon sign saying click n collect. We just wanted to order not click or collect.
Second of all, we made our way to the counter because there was no instruction, 8 staff members behind the counter and two of us waiting to order and not ONE of them acknowledged they had two customers waiting for at least 5 mins! Even what looked like the duty manager didnt care to acknowledge! Not a good energy in this place! We basically had to ask to be served and then made to feel like we shouldnt even be in here.
Never been to this chain before and definitely would NOT go here again. We were only passing but made a mistake even stepping foot into this overrated cafe.
There are way better places around than here.
And customer service training needs looking at.
Even one star is too generous. When chains get too big the service suffers.

This an extremely visual novelty of an excessively pink premises with the same monotone pink shade decor throughout.
The service is appalling. I sat outside for over a half an hour at a messy dirty table, waiting for the staff to clear the table and to take my order. The customers next to me advised me to order inside the shop as they had waited 50 minutes to receive their order. I had to go inside the shop on more than one occasion to ask for someone to clear my table and to take my order.
When my table was finally cleared, cleaned, and my order brought to me; it was without sugar or the offer of sugar. I had to go inside to ask. I waited until my tea was cold before I gave up and used some sugar sachets I had in my handbag.
The second time I ordered a pot of tea, it did not have any milk served with it (or sugar, but I was able to ask a staff member who did bring some to me).
I also ordered a slice of cake (without checking the price)...
When I paid the bill, I had the shock of learning the two pots of English tea and one thin slice of gluten free cake totalled to 19.95!!!! The slice of cake alone was 9.95. The standard slice of catering cake was nice enough, but not 9.95 worthy!!!!
The pots of tea were approx 5 each.
(My friend paid 6 for her small bottle of lemonade which was only enough to fill one small glass).
The terrible service, incapable staff, and basic beverages and ordinary catering cake was not worth the majority of 20 at all. I felt absolutely robbed and not a penny of it felt well spent. I feel sorry for tourists who do not know better or families of 4+ who only realise what their orders of drinks and food for each member will total to (the cost of a huge meal in an ordinary decent restaurant).
There are plenty of independence coffee shop and cafe bistros businesses in the neighbourhood. Any one of them will be a better choice and priced within reason without leaving you feel financially violated.
