Gilboa Barn

A magnificent house! A bit of a maze, but magnificent, it was hilarious watching my family get lost for the first day or so. My only negative comments would be that the ground floor bedroom would be ideal for the disabled, but on arrival we found the beds unsuitable, all three were too low, so I had to climb the stairs on crutches (my family couldn't bear to watch), a couple of toilets were difficult to flush. Other than that, it was fabulous! We're planning on going there next year to celebrate another family occasion.

We booked Gilboa barn for a weekend to celebrate a friend getting married. It's an absolutely perfect place for a group to spend some quality time together. The house was clean, tidy and the owner, Fiona, was so helpful. Her housekeeper (who's name escapes me) was also very welcoming and showed us around. I'd highly recommend booking!

We had an amazing stay here in October. Thirteen of us to celebrate two family members 18ths. The younger ones loved what a maze the house is. The dining table is perfect for a family party being large and almost square so conversation isn't restricted to those in either side of you. The house is very well equipped and we weren't missing anything even though we did a huge amount of cooking and baking. The grounds were lovely although we couldn't use them overly because it rained for most of the weekend but there was enough to do inside and enough space that we weren't getting in each others way. All in all just a fabulous weekend. Thank you.
