I was introduced to this tea room by a friend and we had tea there which was nice enough, but found it quite echoey and difficult to talk at times. We had also chosen to sit on the metal chairs and table which was really uncomfortable. However, service was quick and efficient and its a lovely location to meet up with people as we live locally. I decided to take a friend for lunch recently and wished I hadnt. She ordered a toastie and I had a sandwich. Well her toastie consisted of a few small triangular toasted bread with minimal filling & the tiniest salad I have ever seen! For nearly 9 this was not expected. My sandwich cost just under 11, and consisted of a processed bap with a tiny filling and tiny salad and a few greasy crisps. I dont mind paying good money for good food, but this isnt it and I wont be returning nor recommending. The final insult after spending nearly 32 (we had quite a few coffees) there was a staff member turning off the lights at 3pm! Instead of politely going to each table (there were still quite a few customers drinking) and explaining that the restaurant would be closing soon, she just abruptly turned off the music and lights and gave an angry look at everyone. We had no idea of the opening and closing times of this restaurant. A couple of women next to us were quite disgusted by this, as were we. Ill be spending my money elsewhere because this place doesnt deserve a penny Im afraid. The food and service is just so poor. Parking: There are a few parking spots
