Called before 5 just chancing it as was passing, managed to order super quick service, polite, food was lovely and cheap

we started to use Saigon City about a year ago when we heard that the team had changed. Great food and service every time. The only issue is that we have to pay using cash.

I really wanted to give Saigon City a good review, as theyre local and very friendly but the food has let them down. So much so that we havent eaten it all and had to chuck a lot away. And for foodies, thats really not okay. I ordered a meat spring roll and it was soo greasy, the oil was oozing out of it and the roll itself didnt taste like it was cooked enough. The satay sauce didnt taste of peanuts, very strange aftertaste and extremely salty. A couple of okay dishes that we did eat (pork ribs, chow mein, crispy shredded beef) but nothing amazing. I personally wouldnt recommend it or go back.
