The Rookery Woods

Firstly I just want to say how amazing Heather and Dale are, they were so accommodating and flexible to let us change our dates due to my partners work schedule. Little did we know that when we arrived they had been working tirelessly to get the secret cinema up and running the the rooks nook- we werent expecting that at all! It was a pleasure to be the first guests to experience it and it did not disappoint! Id definitely recommend watching a musical of some sort down there, it was incredible! It was one of the highlights of our trip. The cabin also looked incredible having had a refurb and the window in the bedroom overlooking the woods was so peaceful and romantic, especially as our first two days we had snow! Hot tub with a tv to watch movies was amazing and so relaxing. As new parents we really enjoyed our weekend away at Rookery Woods and we most certainly will be back.

Perfect, relaxing 2 nights in the Rook's Tower. Absolute heaven! Everything was so well thought out and spotless. Warm and welcoming hosts and so lovely to experience the epic results of their hard work. We had the best 2 nights sleep we've had in forever. Waking up to birdsong was amazing. The hot tub with the cinema screen was the perfect relaxation and I have never been in a hot tub that didn't lose temperature, no matter how long you stayed in it. Really dog friendly and our little dog loved chilling in the sun on the decking. Beautiful artwork by the host's sister and all of the little touches were just perfect. Will definitely return. Amazing place! Amazing people! Heather and Dale were very welcoming and are such lovely people! I can't recommend this place highly enough! My son and I and my little Pepper stayed at the Rook's Tower. It was a wonderful and relaxing break from the stress of work and everyday life. I can't get enough of the sounds of birds singing in the early morning, relaxing in the hot tub whilst watching film at the home cinema and the warmth of the woods burning in the fire burner. Had a really great time. Definitely worth coming back again.

Just had a totally relaxing time staying at Rooks Nook. Loved the setting, loved the peace and quiet, loved the hot tub, loved the whole experience! Careful attention paid to the environment too and sustainability. Beautiful part of the world and we will be back!
