The Retreat

Always a wonderful experience to eat at The Retreat. You are sure of a warm welcome and super friendly service. The food is always amazing, this time I had a coronation chicken baguette it comes with crisps & salad it was absolutely delicious. The sausage rolls here are the absolute best too! The homemade cakes are fantastic you can't leave without one or maybe one of each! Fleur and Paul have made The Retreat a gem of a place to visit again and again.

Delicious locally sourced food, was a bit of a wait but worth it! Just down the road from hollands wood campsite. Ideal if you're not cooking. I recommend booking as it got busy quickly.

Had a lovely catch up with friends for lunch. Such a clean, friendly & very delicious lunch was had. Would definitely highly recommend. I had a toasted sandwich along with 2 pots of tea (not all at once!) Not sure how I resisted the cakes because they too looked amazing.

A truly wonderful cafe in the heart of the New Forest, the food is outstanding and expertly crafted, it is very well priced for the quality you receive. Fleur and Paul are warm and welcoming and are sure to put a smile on your face. Their stunning homemade cakes and treats on display are sure to catch your eye and the sausage rolls are to die for! There is no competition in my opinion I cannot recommend this beautiful cafe enough, very pleased with my experience, 5 stars all day long.

Visited The Retreat for lunch, this little gem of a cafe had a lovely atmosphere, staff were very friendly and attentive, food was beautifully presented and delicious. The choice of yummy cakes were too many to choose from so had to take some home! We will be returning.
