We stayed in the Shippon which is a beautifully restored milking parlour.
It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped, cosy and Christmassy .
Our perfect hosts, Fiona and Darren were so welcoming and good fun .
They bent over backwards to make our stay such a success.
The nearby village of Winkleigh with its real old country pub, cider factory, village shop and butchers kept us well stocked up and happy
We needed a bit of a retreat after rather a challenging year and could not have chosen a better place. It was so quiet and peaceful and we have come home fully refreshed .
We are already scouring our 2020 calendar to see how many times we can return next year.
