Extremely disappointing. A special occasion that turned out to be not so special. After sitting down we had to point out a dirty side plate on the table then the main Fork had dried food stuck to the back of it. The mains arrived the chateaubriand was lovely however the spring Lamb dish was so hot it had obviously been microwaved but the mash potato cold. Desserts arrived yet again called the waitress as no dessert cutlery!. The humble Crumble arrived with the waiter saying be careful the dish is extremely hot and oh yes it was it had been microwaved!. I'm happy to pay for a good service and quality food however we all felt this wasn't the case here and left disappointed. James Martin very disappointing!

Nice greetings at the door and no service at all after that. Have been waiting and asking to be served. It wasnt busy at this time. Beautiful interior and its not a cheap place, service needs improving.

A beautiful dining room in a gorgeous hotel but dont be fooled by the setting. This is a poor quality restaurant where service, menu choices and the food is not commensurate with price. The lamb shank tasted like it was out of a microwaved packet with unappetising veg and the cod was priced as through it was halibut. James Martin; you should be ashamed to have your name associated with this.
