An eventful 2 and a half days of FLT work, not good, I might get 2 weeks food bill, clearly I have hit the motherload on slave wages.... Where do I start? Prior to work I did read about 70% of all reviews and I can only confirm other 1 star reviews to be accurate. Induction was initially positive, HR lady polite and welcoming. My job tour guide also of a similar nature, but all positives end there. First red flag is a fingerprint scanner indicating a high turnover of staff (no key card effort) finally I meet my team which was sour grapes, zero communication. Told wrong uniform color but no correct size was given day 1. Total lack of collaboration has me conducting guesswork based on grunts and knuckledragging, manager only quick to point out wrong doing, but not clear instruction on where pallet goes. Eventually there is,like extracting fresh orange juice from a stone, a short lived miracle as the silent, non-English, passive aggressive team don't move the pallets out of the way in time as I unload HGV slowing progress, then told I am slow when I was mindful of Health and Safety.. Not possible to be safe when unevenly double stacked pallet is not regulation. 30 minutes to unload unreasonable when compounded by unhelpful and useless team, on my own with no guidance. Small area to work within and uneven terrain makes manouvres difficult, on top of lack of space location for pallets. But frustration continues when low level pallets fall over because they are not 90 degrees. When given 90 degree loads, I had no issues unloading and cut my time unloading by half on day 2,not good enough says bossman. Angry drivers along with angry manager pile on pressure, mistakes are made, I get removed from the truck. Pallet truck is given to me as replacement, I move them into the warehouse, then it is snatched away and there is not another to do work, I stand in the corner like a spare bag of flour. Called into office arguing my case for a different job role perhaps learning the computer aided stock system.. No you will get a broom and clean up boy! I felt like saying, I will make a good campfire out of your broom before I move a single atom of dust, misterman, I am obviously qualified to do more important work, then I am escorted off site because I put a dent in his fragile ego. I walked down the country road, enraged by the circus but also breathing a sigh of relief. The Only conclusion I can draw from this experience is that you should NOT work here, unless chaos and confusion is your niche'. They Earned this 1 star, but in reality I award them 0 stars. Zero, Zilch, Nada. I will not wonder when they go out of business. It is inevitable when they run out of people to exploit and irritate. They exist on borrowed time.
