My first financial adviser from Lighthouse sold me a bond (upon my retirement) which he knew must have been disadvantageous to me as I was a higher rate tax payer. It was advantageous to him under then the financial regime. When I tried to discuss this bond with him, he was patronsining. I complained and get a different adviser. This one basically only did anything when I contacted him (eg on buying annual ISAs). He didnt follow up on things. I have moved to a different company where I feel much better taken care of.
