I have been flying here since 2015, having wanted to learn to fly. The Robin DR400 aircraft are stunning, and a genuine pride taken in their appearance and upkeep. Joyful, pretty machines with character, performance, and charm. A lot of fun to fly (and admire), and the smiles continue after landing. Throughout training and beyond, I have been supported in every aspect. Equally, I have been compelled to improve in a challenging yet safe environment. A strong emphasis is placed on "airmanship". How to develop as a safe, diligent and "situationally aware" pilot who never stops learning. This is a primary tenet of this flying school. Since qualifying, I have had awesome flying opportunities here. Including (but not limited to) many local/overseas trips (furthest stop so far is Dubrovnik), formation flying, extra training for new skills, aircraft systems, and how to best navigate through aviation paperwork such as filing flight plans, aircraft documents, and airfield information. If I was later entering commercial aviation, this experience surely would have made me a more competitive, rounded candidate. So, I've ended up with far more than "learning to fly", and I've been fortunate enough to share this continuing journey with people who have become lifelong friends . If youre new to flying, good luck. Everyone wants you to succeed. Dont agonise your errors, and be patient with the weather. It always clears eventually!
