My honorary grandma is currently residing here after a stroke. She is 97. She is being well looked after.

Very shabby care-home, in desperate need of some investment and TLC. Carpets are worn and stained, there are 2 rusty Christmas reindeers(?) outside on the front lawn and its now summer. The corridors are loveless and empty, no paintings, pictures, art on the upstairs residents corridor. When it is hot there is a dire lack of working fans. One in the day room but not all residents get them in the bedrooms. Some of the bedrooms are tiny, with very basic furniture, no pictures. Some of the staff were nice and caring, but others had minimal interaction with residents and their guests. PLEASE READ the report from the care commission before considering this home for your loved one, ENSURE you get a care plan discussed with you and make sure you know what consititues an appropriate level of care. Based on my visits here, I would generally not recommend this home.
