Nicky is such a patient and skilled tutor. Highly recommend these upholstery courses , particularly as the class size is small so you get all the attention you need. I started with this stripped back chair and using traditional methods and materials re-upholstered it to its full glory - not bad considering this was my first attempt ! Thanks Nicky !

I spent a wonderful day in the old train station dismantling my parents' 1950s chair and chatting away to my "classmates" about the stories behind our pieces of furniture. Nicky is a fantastic tutor, demonstrating, but not doing it for you, and giving lots of encouragement along the way. They've been very helpful in advising on fabrics to suit the design and period of the piece, and I'm looking forward now to putting it all together in my next session.

Very happy with my recently repaired and re-upholstered sofa. It looks beautiful and is once again very comfortable. Nicky and Erica were easy to communicate with and helpful when we were choosing the fabric. I used Hamilton and Hodson more than ten years ago, and returned because I found both the service and the finished product excellent at the time. Nothing has changed.

As there are only 3 in the group, there is a lot of guidance and one to one tuition. Both Nicky and Erica have years of experience which allows them to assess projects with a professional eye . They offer sound advice about how to complete a project in a doable way for someone who hasn't had a lot of experience in upholstery. It's a hard working and friendly environment.
