NPQH REVIEW I completed my NPQH with Best Practice Network (BPN) this year. I was very well supported by my tutor Vanessa over the last 12 months. I cannot thank her enough for her responses to my questions, feedback and promptings to reflect on the tasks. Her challenging questions forced me to deeply explore topics for which I am grateful. My NPQH year was very hard; I was juggling school responsibilities, teaching, staying on top of the demands of a busy job in a super busy school, and working on the NPQH tasks and assignments. It was also a challenge splitting my days at my placement school over 18 half days and using my free periods to offset them while keeping up with the reading demands of the course. It was more than worth it though! I was delighted to hear that I had passed and over the moon to see my scores (29/30 - Task 1 and 12/12 for Task 2). I would not have come this far without the help of my tutor and the support of BPN. I have started a new role in a new school as a Vice Principal and I am settling in well, however, I have had a brutal baptism of fire. I can only say that the NPQH has helped me thus far and got me through the toughest times. Over the last few weeks, I have reviewed most of the modules we covered and used them to help me navigate tricky matters. I am so grateful I did the NPQH and pleased I chose BPN. Thank you for your support Vanessa and The Best Practice Network. Eliz Dadson, International Distance NPQH, Autumn 2018

I have just finished the DSBM Level 4 for the 2019-20 cohort. When school invited me to apply for the Diploma I was reluctant as I had a manageable work/life balance, my children were grown up, and I was content in my job. However, I agreed to take on the challenge and prepared myself for some late nights of studying. The time commitment is a serious consideration, honestly, so be warned. As an older student I was used to having lessons from a person in a class environment, gathering evidence, cross referencing, lugging files around, and trying to remember the point of the exercise. Learning to adapt to working with BPN online was difficult at first; the volume of work seemed insurmountable and simply translating the questions was a hurdle. However, this all changed when I met Val, my tutor. It was apparent that the other students in our group felt exactly the same; Val immediately filled us with confidence, calmed us down and supported us by listening to our issues and helping us through step by step, instilling a 'can do' attitude. She gave each piece of work invaluable, constructive feedback and direction. Her knowledge, together with information online, cemented facts during the learning experience. I can't thank Val enough for her dedication at every stage. The face to face meetings with other students were an opportunity to share our queries and Val always boosted our group with tips for intelligent solutions. The qualification has validated my role and has given me the skills to support the school with confidence. Thank you.

I completed my Early Years Professional Status with Best Practice Network a few years ago. All the tutors were very helpful and always available to help make the process more manageable. Applying for the course was also straightforward. I would happily do another course with Best Practice Network and have recommended them to colleagues.

I have just completed the final module of the Diploma in School Business Management (DSBM) through Best Practice. I came in to the course with little experience in the field, but with the intention of moving in to this line of business and I wanted to complete the course to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible. I was able to chat through my needs prior to starting the course with the course co-ordinator and with Marianne who ran each online tutorial session. Marianne proved very helpful throughout the course, always willing to answer questions and provide useful feedback on each module. The online area, Instructure, was great for accessing tutorials and documents and the team in the Best Practice office were always on hand to help if needed. I would happily recommend them.
