My Mother moved into Redland Road nearly two years ago and it has been a really positive experience. The staff are kind and caring, my Mother raves about the delicious food and the House is placed right by the Downs, lovely for strolls to the cafe and an easy trip to the local bustling shops. Great for someone who is finding their own home maintenance getting too much. My Mother still keeps her independence but has the safety net of staff there 24/7. Thoroughly recommend a look.

My father has lived at Abbeyfield Redland Road for around 7 years and absolutely loves it here. He had looked at other accommodation in the area but Abbeyfield stands head and shoulders above these, the staff are always very welcoming and helpful when we visit or phone. Dad loves the accommodation which he has made his own, and the food is always top quality and he enjoys this immensely, the bonus is he has a small kitchenette and can make drinks and toast if required. He enjoys the activities such as the weekly film nights, exercise classes, and daily coffee mornings in the lounge, along with the outings to various locations in the area for lunch or shopping etc., and we enjoy visiting for the family events at Christmas, the summer strawberries and cream get together amongst others. Abbeyfield put on a superb party for Dads 100th birthday and have done so for other residents. All the activities are optional for the residents but Dad enjoys these very much and tries to attend as many as he can and has made many very good friends with residents and staff. A special mention must be made to the Friends of Abbeyfield for the superb work they do supporting staff and residents with organising and putting on events. Abbeyfield is situated on the edge of Durdham Downs in Bristol which is lovely for walks, has some small shops a short distance away and is located very close to bus routes. A highly recommended retirement community, which is very homely and personal in their approach to accommodating our loved ones.
