Huge pub. I don't know what theme they are trying for here. Seems like they started with Brunel but then the builder went off script. They have a hot air balloon upstairs which is cool but neither Brunel based nor steam. There are intriguing structures upstairs where the toilets are. The ceiling in one part turns into corrugated metal which has a shanty town vibe. Worst of all are the pictures of Bob Marley, che guevara and the kray twins which I can only assume is a desperate attempt to appeal to students. I have never understood the celebration of nasty criminals (the kray twins of course, Bob Marley is fine but cliche and I am not familiar with the political history of Guevara). The beer which they brew is ok. Nothing special. When we went on a Saturday afternoon it was almost completely empty.

Nothing like the photos. Dead at 7.00 pm on a Thursday. Poor beer selection despite the pump shields on the wall. But a wonderful decor and worth a visit to enjoy the surroundings. Clean, and accidents cleaned up quickly.

Very expensive, lovely atmosphere but lots of students roaming about, not a bad thing but worth noting
