Bristol's best kept secret! I have two girls at Torwood and both are thriving, socially and academically. They benefit greatly from the low pupil/teacher ratio, in that they read every day to their teacher who knows their personal strengths, weaknesses and learning styles. The girls are always able take part in plays/productions and sports fixtures with other schools. They know the names of all the children at the school and play across all age groups which is very special and has given them an incredible confidence and self assurance. It really is truly unique, family run with traditional values, happiness, warmth, respect and decency carried throughout.

Really amazingly caring school and very good academic results too. Great at dealing with my son's severe food allergies and, in his words, "cooking the best meals I ever had". My children have now moved to a selective secondary school and are doing really well, but they still remember Torwood and all the staff fondly.

I have been working with Torwood Independent School and Nursery and I am heartened to find such a deep commitment to achieving the very best outcomes for the children throughout the school and nursery. All childcare should claim to be professional and focused, but here it goes so much further - they are consistently striving to be the best they can in support of and for the education of children.
