Anthea's pilates classes have done more to get my back healthy and functional than anything else I've tried to date (several physios and a few chiropractors included!). After a decade or so of back / sciatic issues from too much desk time and too much ignoring my age (by running a lot and playing basketball), working with her over the past year has me feeling better than I have in ages. I've seen major step changes in my back's health and in my posture, gained a new awareness of how to move properly when playing sport/running etc and also found that even the more gentle exercises can have profound effects. As someone who knows a lot about anatomy and training (keen amateur sportsman, exercise science grad and qualified personal trainer), I've been more impressed by Anthea's scientific knowledge and understanding of how the body works than anyone else I've been treated by. Here's to being fitter at 40 than I was at 30!

I highly recommend you contact Anthea to discuss your therapeutic needs. Anthea's anatomy knowledge is second to none. She has a warm, kind and gentle way about her, with so much attention to detail. A chronic back and joint pain sufferer, I became disheartened with frequent visits to Osteopaths and Chiropractors. I knew I needed to help myself and improve how my body functioned on a day to day basis. I had immediate results after the first session. Small, gentle exercises that helped to stretch, strengthen and mobilise my back and joints resulted in a reduction in pain, improved posture and walking gait. Due to COVID my 1:1 sessions are via zoom. This works brilliantly, we can see and hear each other clearly and a recording of the session sent to me to repeat the exercises in my own time during the week. Apart from the reduction in pain, looking and feeling better (I now have a waist...), my dream is to walk part of the SW Way and I now feel this is not a dream but an attainable goal.
