DG Painting & Decorating

I hired this company to paint the exterior of my mobile home. Their quote was very reasonable and they have done a superb job. They left the areas they had been working in clean and tidy. I would recommend their services to anyone.

I interviewed 5 people to find, who is genuine and he gave me all the right impression until he got the job and his attitude completely changed! I was so embarrassed the fact that my partner and my landlord put me in charge of this task and I failed them. I have a two bedroom flat, living room, bathroom, kitchen and the hallway and I also wanted all the doors to be painted. I was quoted a high price which came down to 950 and after went up the price slowly. They are very childish, rude, unprofessional, not consistent, full of excuses for finishing early and taking a long to finish as they dont work over the weekends or bank holidays and by also calling sick. He told me that it will take 4 days and toke him 3 weeks and ruined all the plans that I had as I wanted to do the floors after so I could relax in summer and go on my booked holiday brakes. I was told they can start on the 8th of may and changed to 22th and changed again to 23th of may and everyday he was late, once I felt sleep and didnt bothered trying or go and have a coffee in town and then come back in 20 min or so but decided to leave and I called him in 15 mins later and I apologise and he snapped at me knowing how they have treated us, still so rude and said that he wont return until tomorrow and his going to another job! He told my partner due to this issue that he did returned on the same day basically lied and I got so frustrated as I didnt wanted to get into a arguments because I didnt trust his behavior acting like a child so I ignored it for the sake of the job to be done. He phoned in sick the next day and didnt bothered to send his colleague as I only live two minutes walk from the train station and told me that he gave him a day off to go and see his dad! All of their equipment were at my house and I was leaving in hell, and the three days later again he send me a msg that his colleague is sick for two days and he cant come to work that day because he needs to go to another place to make sure his lads are finishing on another job! Absolutely full of excuses for delaying his work on my flat. He said he will start at 8.30 but every time started at 9, 9.30, 10, 10.30 and sometimes actually 8.40 because every time there was an excuse and every time excuse for leaving early at 3, 4 not longer 4.30 because he had to pick up his guys from other jobs or another time he had a wedding to go to! He started on the 23th of May and four days job took up until 7th of June! The work wasnt yet been completed as they finished at 3 on the 7th of June and he said that he will return to go over the places that needed a second code and the front door external to be done for extra for 37.50 including discount. He still needed to use foams with some places and if they didnt always finish so early add list up to 5.30 everything would have been completed. The third time he phoned in sick I was about to go on holiday and I had to cancel my train ticket to London and pay cancellation fee and this time I couldnt buy it Incase this carrys on and it did the second day sick again and delayed my time off.The 950 turned into 117.50! Please be careful dont pay anyone until they done everything and also invoice deadline are within 30 days of completing.
