One of our neighbours has just move into Glebe House, and seeing how happy she is and the activities she taking part in, is a testament to the Glebe and the staff.

Although this care home claims to do all this and all that it does nothing, they have a minibus parked outside which never moves, but worse than that, we noticed mums toothpaste wasn't being used, we went into the home to visit and I pushed her toothbrush into the end of the striped toothpaste make her toothbrush bristles red, when we visited a week later the red toothpaste was still on her toothbrush so I knew they don't clean teeth like they claim or indeed should do. The same goes for the shower Gel you have to supply, Mum used very little as it simply wasnt being used like it should have been, in the last months of her life, we took her a chocolate orange, it was in a paper bag, packaged in a box, in the plastic casing and finally the chocolate is wrapped in foil, the care home wouldn't let her have it due to covid, classic case of wrong doing, chocolate was my mums only pleasure, her last pleasure, Im afraid Glebe House isn't all it says it is, keep an eye on your loved one, do regular checks is my advice, Or if possible put them somewhere you can trust, management are in denial and staff are lazy and probably under paid.

If you are reading this, then you are probably in the process of making one of the most challenging decisions of your life. With all the emotions that come with having to confront the truth that a relative would have better care in a professional home, you are faced with choosing which one it should be. After much consideration, we as a family selected Glebe House. The care my mother received was second to none. I will share with one story that is typical of how the staff behave. I arrived at the home unannounced and headed straight to my mums' room. The door was closed, which indicated that mum was being assisted by staff. From inside I could hear laughter and singing and generally a great time being had by all. When the door opened two ladies, slightly out of breath greeted me as my mum, with a smile filling her face and a twinkle in her eye waved them goodbye. 'We've been having a lovely sing and dance whilst we got mum ready.' One of the ladies informed me as she left. This level of love and care was consistent with every visit.
