Downs Park Nursery is a fantastic little nursery and provided exceptional care for our daughter. We just moved due to my work, and one of the saddest thing about moving from the wonderful city of Bristol, was taking our daughter out of DPN - the care was amazing and she had lots of friends. Cant recommend highly enough! Regarding the earlier 1 star review, its true that they dont want parents going into the nursery rooms, because its easier for them to manage everyone coming and going - but its not like the rooms are off limits. The imporatant thing was, my daughter came home smiling every day.

Downs Park Day Nursery is a very special place which provides a secure, homely and nurturing environment for children and supports their development through a vast array of activities and opportunities. The management team and practitioners go above and beyond for the children in their care and make great efforts to involve parents and siblings in nursery life. We cannot recommend this nursery highly enough.

If you love your children, don't send them here. They don't let children settle properly and don't allow parents in to the room, causing unnecessary stress for the child. I know parents who were left feeling very uncomfortable by this policy. Also leaves me wondering what they're hiding...

The previous poster has got this completely wrong. We have used Downspark for many years and the care is exceptional. The reason they don't like the parents coming into the room is because the rooms are not huge and so having a constant stream of doors opening and 'big people' in the rooms is not conducive to settling the children already in there. In summation, having used other nurseries in the area, I can wholeheartely say that our children feel loved there, rather than simply liked.

I cannot recommend Downs Park highly enough; all the practitioners truly love and care for the children who attend and meet all the needs of the children and families within their care. They work with parents to help support each child's development and to ensure they provide a "home away from home". My son always looked forward to attending nursery and joining in with the exciting opportunities provided by the dedicated practitioners who also provided me with lots of ideas of how I could support his learning at home. I always felt like I could talk to any of the practitioners about any concerns or worries I may have had about my son and they were always more than happy to help. I am so pleased that while I was working my son was able to be cared for in such a nurturing environment. Thankyou for everything you did for us!
