Excellent customer service and communication: I bought a trumpet mouthpiece that I wished to return straight away. I had paid by BACS and was refunded the same way. Prices were also favourable. I will certainly be buying from Trevor Jones Brass and Woodwind again.

Contrary to many reviews on this page my item did not arrive in the condition described. The mouthpiece I ordered was brand new and yet was covered in tarnish when I took it out of the box. I contacted Trevor and he told me to polish it to remove the tarnish - fair enough, however he would not acknowledge that the item he sold me was not as described and did not offer to reimburse any cost to me whatsoever to compensate. Returning for a refund would have been more inconvenience. He said had he noticed it was tarnished he would have sent a different one instead, however he would have had to open the box and actively check its condition before sending it out, which did not happen. I accept that the price was favourable compared to other places however he refused to acknowledge the inconvenience to me, the lack of checking the item before he sent it to me and the fact that I paid for an new item in new condition as advertised, not a tarnished one. Very irritated at being fobbed off especially as 102.99 (item plus shipping) is not an inconsequential sum of money to put up with something being sub standard
