I joined it as I had an upcoming Student Fight Night and I was not disappointed. Firstly the gym is equipped with everything that you need to work out for boxing, kickboxing, muay thai and more. Secondly, Paul is a great coach, transforming 20 students into proper fighters in just two months! I personally can feel my physique getting so much better -Im fitter, stronger and faster. When I started I had no boxing experience, with no skills at all. I can confidently go into the ring now all ready to fight. Coach is pushing everyone harder and harder with every training session, which is why I think the gyms training is productive. Overall, PCT gym is the perfect place in Bristol to train-very professional and productive.

Best Muay Thai gym in Bristol by far, the coach is an expert at both Muay Thai and at teaching. Lessons are a really good mix of fitness, drilling and practice, and everyone there is really supportive.

I trained with PCT to prepare for the 30-man kumite, one of the toughest tests in martial arts. It involves trying to complete 30 fights against opponents of increasing skill as you get increasingly tired, and is taken in some styles of full-contact Karate as a test of physical and mental resilience. To pass, one skill you need is an ability to repeatedly hit with both power and precision. I started practising Muay Thai because it's arguably the most effective martial art for stand-up striking, training with PCT over a few months 2-3 times a week. Because "drills build skills", I attended the Muay Thai or K1 kickboxing class and applied what I learnt at Friday-night fight club, which attracts a group of competitive yet supportive, friendly fighters. PCT's head coach, Paul, uses the sergeant-major teaching style -- an approach that (in my experience) works best for students who are able to respond to feedback by pushing themselves harder. I passed the 30-man kumite. Paul helped me achieve that. If you want to improve your conditioning, fitness and sparring technique then I highly recommend PCT.
