I am asked to send a written letter to be able to change my address my account being locked. Every other financial organisation allows you to reset your passwords using email or mobile phone numbers via codes being sent. This is not for security reason, this is to make it difficult for clients to withdraw money.

HL are the best I have dealt with in comparison to their peers. They have always been helpful and the variety of services on offer is quote unique. I would definitely recommend HL to friends and family.

I have found Hargreaves Lansdown a great way to invest money, especially as I am inexperienced in investing and don't have much time to spend on it. Their emails are informative and helpful.

It's a convenient platform to use for investment. It is not the cheapest. It is ok. That's it really, nothing special. Thanks to Dan from HL for the standard marketing authorised response. Yes, absolutely correct, you do obtain discounts on some funds, and your fee for dealing reduces if you trade more often. It could also be argued that you push some funds more than others, perhaps like the Woodford funds that history has shown were taking high risk investments with client money that you appear to have missed, in fact are you not currently facing a lawsuit by RGL? I would far rather you offered a better standard charge and did not push for better rates on some funds. I wonder about the exact reasons why one fund is offered with discount and one is not. It is very easy to fall back on a standard marketing response but if you really wanted to address my lacklustre review you would be well advised to have contacted me directly rather than try to use it as an opportunity to market your platform. This is exactly why my original review was not more positive.
