Do not buy a Built Square property!! If you're finding out now through contact negotiations with you solicitor, or hopefully sooner that you're dealing with these guys, genuinely just pull out. We bought a Built Square "renovation" and it has just been an endless pit of "oh my god what have these cowboys done". Marketed as a complete head to toe renovation with a new kitchen and bathroom, partial rewire and new central heating, and on the surface it looked fine for the first couple of weeks, it was not... Huge leaks in the roof, covered with expanding foam and tape. (Destroyed all there fresh plaster in an upstairs bedroom that they had done to cover up the historic damage from such leak) Every single bit of drainage pipework leaked, (kitchen sink, bathroom sink, bath etc.. literally every single one). Bath incorrectly fitted. Leaking central heating system. Gas works improperly finished. Damaged (botched) subfloor structure covered up, subsequently failed. Not a single door in the house closed. Fixtures and finish everywhere really poor quality or incorrect. Found old acrylic paint under a thin layer of plaster skim in one area of a room, where chunks of plaster just randomly started coming away. (That lazy not to sand it off...?) Damp, damp, damp and more damp, they love to hide this with paint and plaster but luckily the majority of this was caught by the survey. Every single room in the house has had to have been redone. In all costing us thousands to put right cover ups and damages that could have been avoided entirely had they actually been done as they should have during the renovation. I can only assume that they actually have no idea what they are doing because nobody is intentionally this bad. Plastering over visible issues, covering everything with a thin coat of white paint, badly lay a cheap grey carpet, fit a flat pack kitchen, and use an interior design firm to dress the place! "You get what you pay for" does NOT apply with these guys, cowboy painters and decorators (at best), that will actively hide serious issues. RUN! Oh and when they get a bad review they just post 5 fake ones to try and compensate (check it out, sort by date on these reviews and have a look). Services: Home renovations, Remodeling, Home building

Built Square did a great job turning an upstairs bedroom into a bathroom. The work was completed to a really high standard, communication with Miles and the team was excellent throughout, and helped put me in touch with electricians and drainage specialists who were all great. Would definitely recommend!

We bought a house that had been flipped by Built Square. There have been so many problems that have appeared since moving in. Leaking roof above the bedroom was hidden with a new plaster job and gloss bathroom paint, no solving of actual cause. Same story with rising damp that they tried to hide with a new white wash. Oven not connected to gas, expanding foam fixing much bigger problems, kitchen installed very poorly that washing machine fitters had so many problems. Maybe these guys can do a single room upgrade but DO NOT BUY A HOUSE FROM THEM. Service: Home renovations
