Burger Theory

We went as a group of 4 on a Sunday. The food was ok - nothing particularly amazing, nothing wrong with it either. Having been a year before it feels like the quality has gone down though. The service was really patronising - two of our burgers were cold (in one, the meat was cold inside, the other had a freezing cold bun). While we were given the option for 1 of them to be remade, it would have been awkward to make that 1 person wait while the rest of us ate. Once we complained, the member of staff started calling the member of our group who complained "love" with a very patronising tone. She explained that the window was open in the kitchen so the food closest to it might have got cold. Bit of a weird excuse given it isn't rocket science to understand that that shouldn't be happening. In the end, we still paid full price and there is a NON OPTIONAL 10% service charge, even though you have to scan a QR Code to pay with very little staff interaction and in our case the service was poor. Given the choice we would not have added the service charge. Food is mediocre for the price, will definitely not be returning as it currently stands as its too pricey in the grand scheme of things given the relatively small portion size, our experience of poor service and the cold food.

Very nice food, but waited over an hour for some burgers

Pretty decent, I've had better smash burgers and was kinda hoping for a slightly greasier dirtier burger. The bun had been left on the grille too long and was crunchy, I had to wait 45 minutes for my 1 burger and fries on a Friday at 4pm with about 1/3 the tables full, and yeah the burger was a tad skinny and dry. Still 4 star but I did get the lunch deal, would hate to have paid full price, I think those tiny changes could make it a really juicy reliable burger joint.....speed up wait times and keep some of the fat in the burger mince. Sauce is lush!
