In the few months that Ive been having lessons with Dan, my guitar playing has come on leaps and bounds. He tailors the lessons to what Im interested in playing, but also introduces new material and techniques, so I always feel like Im making good progress. He is always very encouraging and incredibly patient, and I can highly recommend him if youre looking for a great guitar teacher.

I found Dan by looking for a guitar teacher near to me via google. He's been fantastic since the get-go. Pre covid he came to our house for my son's lesson. I believe you can have 30 or 60 minute lessons, but as my son is 9 we opted for the 30 to start. I'm a pianist/novice guitar player so feel musically I can judge a teacher well (had many in the past). We've been with Dan since last October (19) and my son has come on in leaps and bounds. He keeps the music modern, which my son loves, pushes him at an appropriate level and is generally a fantastic teacher. During covid we went to online lessons which have been a god send and have worked just as well. He's punctual, reliable and friendly. All in all I highly recommend him.

Dan is a brilliant guitar teacher - I still can't quite believe how much progress my son Charley (10) has made in the last year... Dan is great at getting everything to do with music theory and technical skills across, and keeps it interesting and fun by transcribing music Charley wants to learn to play (no matter how weird!). We couldn't be happier!

Dan is by far one of the best teachers in the South West, his down to earth and approachable teaching style makes the lessons really enjoyable and informative. Looking back, I feel as though I have progressed incredibly as a musician thanks to Dan. I would not hesitate to recommend him!

My son(age 11) started learning guitar with Dan way back in early 2014. He started out with an Acoustic. Six months after Dan assisted us in buying him his first electric guitar, advising what to look for and what to avoid. Dan adapts well, when my son struggles with concentration (due to SEN he distracts easily). Dan has the patients that's needed to get the very best out of my son and he teaches the structure my son needs to learn, whilst learning the music my son enjoys (metal/rock). I collected my son from his lesson tonight and he could not wait to show me (grinning from ear to ear) the music he and Dan had started to compose. I could not recommend Dan highly enough, my son is loving guitar and it shows.
